Christmas Sgian Dubh
My wife's been using the camera alot lately due to her sister having a baby...so that makes us a first time Aunt & Uncle. Anyhow, now that I got it back I thought I'd show some Christmas photos finally. I asked for a Sgian Dubh for Christmas, so I kindly directed my father to the Scottish Tartan Museum where he bought me "The Tay" made by "The Sgian Dubh Co." I wanted a sgian that was a little different. I LOVE IT! Nice and heavy, good quality, as I expected the blade was a dull as a butter knife. My friend has a cousin that works at Dick's Sporting Goods, he sharpened it up nicely for me for free.
It was a Buchanan Christmas at the Schenk household on Christmas Eve. Here's a photo of my Uncle (on the left) his first time wearing a kilt, it's a Frugal Corner 16 oz., I had one that was WAY too big for me and gave it to him. My brother is in the middle wearing a Frugal Corner 13 oz. was originally my first kilt, I never liked it and gave it to him, he doesn't really have any accessories. And I'm wearing my Frugal Corner 16 oz. I don't wear this kilt all that often, I much prefer my 2 USA Kilts over this one.
My uncle found me a "Fat Bastard" doll from the Austin Powers movie (that's what I'm holding in this photo)
And on Christmas morning with my mother I was going casual and wore my St. Patricks tartan kilt.
Later Christmas day we got together with my inlaws and family in which I wore my USA Kilt American Heritage. Just don't have any photos on my camera...
And here's UNCLE STEVE (me) holding my 1 hour old Niece Sophie!
