How often do you carry a walking stick when kilted

IMHO, there are 2 reasons to "carry a Stick"
1. Fashion ( see McMurdoc & Jamie )
2 PRACTICAL (why I CARRY)
a. TERRAIN ( see RiverKilt)
b .Defense

I'll add to the practical. I have arthritic knees, and a balance problem, so I always use a stick. Therefore by extension I always carry/use a stick with the kilt, just a slightly different style.
