Yesterday was a great day! Kilted Rebel and I put on our ACU pattern Sportkilts, linked up with my parents near Apache Junction, AZ, and we headed to the AZ Ren Fest. The weather was beautiful and the period clothing was "ample". Our kilts were a great hit. If I had a dollar for everyone who asked where we got our kilts, it would have at least paid for the hotel for the night. We were happy to pass on the website, and hopefully they should be getting a couple of orders. Which reminds me I need to order my daughters Sportkilt that she wants.

We were also lucky enough to see the group Tartanic. Great bunch of lads and the music is even better. I got the CD I wanted, and played it during the three hour trip back to Sierra Vista. Great music that I highly recommend.

After our day at the Fest, I wanted to have dinner at the Tilted Kilt in Mesa. I had seen pictures of the Tilted Kilt here on XMarks and always wanted to go. It Was Awesome!! The food was great, the service outstanding, and I can't say enough about the ladies. All in all an outstanding day. My parents had fun (as seen on my father's face) and Kilted Rebel and I had a blast. Just another benefit of being on this forum for the information gained.

I know the rule here on XMarks. "If there's no pictures, it didn't happen" Well, we forgot the camera. But at Tilted Kilt, I remembered that my new phone has a camera. So you'll have to excuse the quality of the pictures. But I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as we did taking them.

Here's my father. Notice the grin.
