greetings fellow scots!

i'm happy to discover this forum - at the age of 45, i've only now been discovering my scottish roots by investigating the history of my last name "lamon"

it's been fascinating to read the ancient history of my clan and of scotland in general

and i can't believe i never knew until recently that scotland was fighting for her independence from england

who knew? - it's never in the news here in the usa

at any rate, i am thankful for the internet to help me regain some of my scottish heritage and pride
