Only very distantly. The Acrylic sheep were first bred in Japan, and then imported into Scotland to control the infestation of plastic heather. The Nauga comes from Wisconsin, USA, and whilst has hooves, is really more porcine than ovine. (tongue firmly in cheek)

On a slightly more serious note, when "virgin" is used before the fibre on a tag, it means that it is not recycled from previously made cloth.
