Is this in good taste?
I'm taking the opportunity of an upcoming event to purchase my first kilt, It's a formal function, and while I want to stand out; "like a sore thumb" is not the analogy I'm hoping for. Since my fashion sense is limited, ( I usually dress myself from the "Forest Gump" rack at Wal-mart), I'm hoping some helpful soul will give me a bit of advice.
My tartan is a little unusual, it's called Citadel Military Academy and it's primarily light blue and dark blue, with a bit of red and yellow tossed in. So that's handled.
My dilemma is the sporran. Like I said, formal occasion, but I don't like fur. I spotted one that I like, but I'm not certain that:
a. it's appropriate to a formal occasion
b. it wouldn't clash with the tartan
If you want to take a look at the sporran, hee's a useful URL:

So, am I completely insane? Would this work? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!!
