The question is, is there now or has there been a military unit which wore a red Balmoral/beret/tam as part of their uniform? I don't want people thinking that I'm claiming to be a part of something I'm not, nor do I want to appear that I'm dishonoring a military unit.
I appreciate your advice, and will post pics of it when I get it made.
Red berets are traditionally associated with the Royal Military Police (The German Bundeswher's military police also wear red berets), but I can't say I've ever seen a red balmoral.
That being said, unless you were wearing an RMP cap badge, I doubt anyone would confuse you with a "red cap".

Todd
