Black Stewart Kilt Pleated to the Stripe
I have started saving my nickels and dimes for a semi-formal USA Kilt. The tartan that I plan on getting is the Black Stewart. I like to have everything planned out before I make a purchase, that way hopefully, I will have no regrets when I get the kilt.
I have recently become quite a fan of pleating to the stripe. However, I remember a post where Barb T. was saying that some tartans don’t pleat well to the stripe (confirm?) So, I started to do some online research and I cannot find any pictures of a Black Stewart kilt pleated this way. Does anyone have a Black Stewart kilt pleated to the stripe, or a photo that would show this? I don’t want the Black Stewart kilt to be my first kilt that I am unhappy with.
Other kilts that I have on my wish list would be, in order of future purchase, the Stewart Old Sett, pleated to the sett, the Stuart of Bute pleated to the stripe and a Stewart Dress with an undetermined pleating style. For these kilts I am still unsure what kilt maker I am going to use but they will all be 8 yard tanks, tentatively.
