OK so I'll fess up. I can be a bit of a chump...

Firstly I hope Barb T doesn't mind me linking to her photos to illustrate my point.

I recently came across her superb tutorial on how to apply basting stitches to a Kilt prior to pressing in order to avoid "the wave". The advice goes along the lines of 'spend a little time putting these stitches in BEFORE pressing your Kilt to avoid disapointment'. If you follow the advice given you'll end up with perfect pleats. (see below)

Well, unfortunately for me I'm an impulsive kind of guy, I'm also king of the shortcut and I'm completely INEPT at any form of needle-work. Consequently I have ignored the good advice and aquired the WAVE in my solid black PV.

Not dissimilar to this:

The question is: How do I fix it and get it back to how it should be?

If any of the more knowledgeable members could take a little breather from laughing and offer advice, I would be eternally grateful.

Yours humbly
