I've been a Paramedic since Johnny and Roy and I would have to disagree with making a utility kilt the unofficial kilt of EMS providers...We had a hard enough time moving to shorts in the industry because of exposure to blood borne pathogens and in some places, they're still not accepted.
The postal service is having their round-a-bout regarding utility kilts for their line of work and truthfully it looks pretty good and is befitting for that occupation.
My beef is with the EMS tartan looking like a tablecloth!
