    My kilt closet:

This is a walkin closet in the "Scottish" guest room---one adorned with all our scottish "stuff". I keep my wool dress sportcoats in plastic storage garment bags in the back on the top rack with about 6 of my most frequently worn or least liked kilts in front of them (not enough plastic garment bags for all my kilts yet). Bottom rack has a travel garment bag with my dress barathea Argyll plus two tweed Argylls and their respective waistcoats, with two other plastic storage garment bags containing two each of my more valuable kilts. To the right is a hanging cloth shoe rack containing, from top to bottom, my dress sporrans, other leather sporrans and belt pouches, various accoutrements grouped into piles or baggies, belts and sporran hangers, and my ghillie brogues. The plastic bin on the floor houses all my kilt hose. My balmorals, tams, berets, glengarry and flatcaps are in a plastic flat garment bag in the bottom of a separate wardrobe with my ties and fly plaids. Everything is in close proximity to either cedar blocks or lavender sachets either hung on the racks or placed in the sealed bags for moth safety. My Inverness cloak resides in the main entrance hall closet with the other outerwear, but covered with a drycleaners plastic cover and a lavender sachet in its pocket. I prefer Scotweb's 17" wide kilt hangers to others I have tried becasue they nearly completely hold my large waisted (45-46") all heavyweight kilts from one side to the other in their 4 sturdy clamps, without folding or drooping in the middle.

My wife made me move it all out of our master bedroom closet becasue she was "too tired of me having more skirts hanging on my side of the closet than hers."
