Milkshakes have grown up.
Going to try this one tonight,
Peach Shake with Brandy & Nutmeg
1 quarter cuo cold milk (about 60mls)
75mls cognac or brandy
1 tablespoon peach preserve (21 grams)
half teaspoon vanilia extract
half teaspoon grated nutmeg
4 med scoops peach ice cream ( about 340g)
4 med scoops peach sorbet (340g)
Put milk, cognac, jam, vanilla extract, & nutmeg in a blender & mix thoroughly, about 15 seconds.
Add ice cream & sorbet & pulse several times tto begin breaking them up.
With the blender motor off, use a flexible spatula to mash the mixture down onto the blender blades. Continue pulsing stopping, & mashing until the mixture is well blended, thick & moves easily in the blender jar roughly 30-90 seconds.
Pour into chilled glass Or glasses, & serve at once.
On a personal note l am going to use a fresh peach instead of jam.
