Today my beautiful wife and I went to the Sycamore Shoals Celtic Festival in Elizabethton, TN. We were sort of disappointed with it, although it was a beautiful day and we met some interesting people, one of whom gave me a hand-woven piece of tartan Carolina.
We returned home by a different route, and along the way found this big rock beside the road.


On the left of the big rock is a two-lane road, so you can get some idea of the size of this rock. For those of you who are familiar with western North Carolina (the greatest place on Earth), this is on Hwy. 221 north of Grandfather Mountain.
