I'm not sure whereto ask this and perusing the Rules, I did notice the section on "Concerning personal forum member Advertisements on X Marks the Scot" but am not sure if this would or wouldn't be allowed so I figured "Comments and Suggestions" would be best suited... So here's my question:

Is there a list on this site were members can list their skills/talents/hobbies/craftiness that are related to kilts, kilt accessories and the like? If there is not a list, would this be something viable for this site?

I'm thinking in terms of a list of Kilt Makers (professional or hobby), Leather Workers, Metal Workers, Knitters, etc. who would be interested and willing to share their skills with their fellow XMarkers. To me there's a difference between a private individual who's got a hobby and can make (for example) a sporran for a friend at cost vs. buying from a large company. Or who can I go to for handmade hose? Or who on here enjoys making kilts but doesn't do it for a living that is willing to make a kilt or two for other members?

Why I'm asking is that, while I'm relatively new here, I've had a good look around and have seen some awesome posts about Member-X making a kilt pin, sporran, jacket or kilt for Member-Y. I realize that there's a good chance that these folks already know each other - so the resource is already there, but for a newbie like me or others who haven't met anyone on here - the community resource isn't so readily available. Personally, I'd rather get my "gear" from members of this community if I can, I just want to know who you are! I have already used this forum to find my sporran and sporran straps, and most likely my next kilt (or two!)

Again, I don't know if this idea has been looked at and discarded previously but I thought I'd throw it out there. I know our advertisers pay money to advertise and there are rules against blatantly advertising a vendor/product but if individuals can use the avator and their signature to link to their website/advertise the business - I'm just wondering if this is something XMTS could do, though I do see potential pitfalls in regards to advertising, etc.

Is this possible?

Thanks,
Noah
