A good Feeling
I attended my office Christmas party last week . (Kilted of course, Stillwater nightstalker, bow tie,and a matching vest)
Afterwards I had to do a little shopping in preparation for my wifes holiday baking. I was trolling the isles of our local Trader joes market.
I noticed a few chuckles, and slight stares but nothing out of the ordinary.
As i approached the row of registers at the end of my chore, A slim woman with very close cropped hair made a bee line for me.
She made eye contact with me, grabbed my arm, and said: "I wanted to thank you. I was feeling so selfconsious about going out tonight, I was worried that people would stare at me. you took all the attention away from me." I laughed out loud, and we went on our seperate ways.
Anyone who has had friends, or relatives go through the loss of hair from chemotherapy will understand her feelings.
I was just glad I could help......Rich
