School student considering his first kilt.
Hello every one! I am currently a senior at my high school and want to try out wearing a kilt instead of these confining shorts, as well as turning a few heads at my school.
So for the last week I have been researching and looking at many threads on this website that have commented, reviewed, and compared every kind of kilt and kilt maker that I really care to know. But after the last week I have really narrowed it down to USA kilts and sport kilt. At first I considered utilikilts but liked the look of the USA and sport kilts and read some blogs and some other reviews on other websites saying that utilikilts are a “disgrace“ and “dishonor” to the kilts heritage so I decided to go against buying a utilikilt.
I would be wearing the kilt around my school and possibly wear it for my track team (I do not know if my coach would allow that but he’s pretty laid back so im sure he would). So the only thing that I am worried about are pockets, I was looking at USA kilts and I have not yet found any were that says they have pockets, but I have found that sports kilts, the works kilt, does have pockets. So after all that, I guess my question is, between USA kilts and sport kilts which would be better for, 1) casual wear around my school and other public places, 2)have pockets that I can keep my calculator and other school necessities in, 3) good to wear for sports, and 4) have belt loops.
Thank you so much in advance.
