For some odd reason I haven't been kilted since Christmas! No good reason that I can think of kept me from it, just an overabundance of the usual things that might get in the way.

I found myself stealing moments away to search tartans and kit accessories longingly.

Well last night I got my 'groove' back. I took Mrs. Pete and a friend of ours to the Ballet. The perfect reminder of how well kilts can be worn to such functions.

I wore my surname tartan (with handmade tartan flashes Mrs. Pete suprised me with for Christmas) the tweed jacket that Alan H. helped me out with (Victoria--searching for a black one for your next work of art), Semi-dress sporran--all similar to the pictures in this thread--but no waist coat:

Ahhhhhhhh! How wonderful to be kilted again with two lovely ladies on my arm!

Got compliments on the look and had a chat with an usher at the theatre who is a Ferguson who LOVED the tartan and was kicking himself for not wearing his more often. Told him about xmarks and hoped to see him around.

Finished the evening with a nice dinner then pints of stout at a local pub.

Somehow--I feel almost 'human' again!

Boys, don't go too long un-kilted. Its bad for you!
