HEy All-
A couple of months ago, I posted about having some remnant Isle of Skye tartan from a bolt we bought and was at a miss as to what to do with it (2 pieces both almost 4 yards....

Anyway, my daughter LOVES to immitate my pleating the tartan and will take scraps and begin pleating herself. On one of the remnants, she pleated quite be accident (Or not?) to a neat line pattern. I began working with it and found a REALLY nice pattern for pleating. BEcause it was such limited material, this pleating scheme gives the illusion of more pleats. Anyway, I've had no time to really work it, but over the last 2 months, I've worked little bitss here and there. Well, this morning I finished. 4 Yards of 16OZ MM wool makes a VERY light kilt, but the way I pleated gives the pleats a little extra depth, and all and all I'm pleased. I've unbasted the kilt and taken some quick pics. The kilt may look a little puffy here and there, but once pressed, it'll look smashing!!! Enjoy the pleating scheme I've named after my daughter Skye......I call it "Pleated to Skye's fancy"

Again, the kilt has not been pressed, and with this little yardage for a knife pleat-You really need to to get it looking decent. I'll post me wearing it once pressed-I just really wanted to show the pleating scheme

And because I know I'll get asked about these, so here they are close up-
