angora goathair sporran

I'm finally done with my angora goathair sporran project. Yesterday was Tartan Day in NYC and I was going down to participate. I had wanted to finish my sporran for the event but as the day appoached I hadn't even started the leather work. I had finished the brass cantle in october with the hope of completing the sporran soon after.... Well, 6 months later and one day before the nyc trip I sprang into action. In 8 hours I cut,stitched,riveted and assembled the sporran. I was not quite as careful with the fit and finish as would have liked but with the time limit was satisfied overall.

The next sporran will incorporate a similar cantle but with a plain leather pouch. It'll be alittle more appropriate for daywear situations. This one was fun and a practise for making a possible silver cantle dress sporran.

I did get alot of nice comments on it at the parade and one piper took a few photos of it.
