Source for Hemp/recycled PET fabric
I made a kilt out of this stuff as part of my "EarthKilt" project that I had to abandon. I have to say that this material has been by FAR my favorite stuff to work with, for a contemporary kilt. It has enough weight, it has a robust feel to it without being "scratchy", it holds pleats (Mine were sewn down) it doesn't wrinkle, and the colorfastness seems good.
I might, maybe, maybe someday make another one. At any rate, sources for this fabric are a bit hard to come by and the price is usually steep...$22 a yard and up. However, I found it here:

for sixteen bucks a yard and change. That's the charcoal. The fabric is also available in indigo and olive, though this distributor doesn't seem to carry the olive color.
