You have correctly identified my intent. I've travelled the US extensively and know where I would want to go, or would recommend for others to go. But I'm trying to find out where a European would be interested in going.
It's nice to know what American citizens think should be seen by visitors to the US, and I'm not discounting their recommendations, but that isn't necessarily the same as what a European would want to actually see.
