Pleating options (RAF Tartan)

I’ve seen this tartan Knife pleated to the white stripe but I don’t like the excess of white at the back

So pleat it to the red.

If it's a box or double box you'll only have 6-10 pleats anyhow and most of the back will be the darker blue rather than the white and you'd have twice as many red stripes showing too.
