Kilted for Kids' Cancer

My youngest son, Michael, when he was 2.5 years old, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. It was one of darkest days of my life.
We spent three and a half years in treatments – ranging from daily oral chemo, sedation, spinal taps and surgery. I was a single mom with two young kids, trying to get through college and barely able to work. There was a lot of crying, toughening up, fighting and worries. My eldest son missed school and having a normal childhood and my youngest had his entire reality shifted. We were poor, tired and ragged… but we survived. My son is in remission and has been out of treatment for two long years.
One of the best gifts we were given during that terrible time was trip to DisneyLand via Make-A-Wish and the people that really made it home for us while we were there was Give Kids The World Village (http://gktw.org/).

Give Kids The World is a non-profit organization that exists only to fulfill the wishes of all children with life-threatening illnesses and their families from around the world to experience a memorable, joyful, cost-free visit to the Central Florida attractions, and to enjoy the magic of Give Kids The World Village for as long as there is a need. 100,000 children have had their dream come true at Give Kids The World. No child in need has ever been turned away – and no child ever will. Give Kids The World is a place where families find joy, laughter, serenity, and a lifetime of memories. Through the tireless support of our volunteers, employees and generous partners, we dedicate each and every day to these special families.

Kilted for Kids' Cancer
We believe in gifts. As a family, we have been through a lot of hard time but have come out on top and we want to thank all of those people who helped us through it all. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month but our gratitude lasts all year round so we have started a movement to help give back that will not end when the month is over.
First and foremost, we want to thank our customers who have made Alt.Kilt what it is today. For the rest of the month of September, we are giving away our kid's kilts for free. Each one will have our Kilted for Kids' Cancer screen printed small on the front apron. Shipping will be added to each free kilt order. As an option, we are also collecting donations for Give Kids The World so you have the choice to write in a donation amount with your order of a kid's kilt - there is *NO* requirement to donate. Either way, the kilts are free for all kids until the end of September.
The rest of our gifts are going directly benefit our choice charity.
We are hosting an eBay auction for the next seven days featuring a "Custom Build Kilt" - you can have any thing you want (excluding full leather)... all of our fabrics, customizations - including screen printing, embroidery, unique pockets and color combination, and this even includes any of our specialty styles (as is or modified). 100% of the profits of this auction will go directly to Give Kids The World and it is located here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=260666958939
For our adult kilt fans, we are also offering the addition of the Kilted for Kids' Cancer logo screen print to your Alt.Kilt order. A $25 donation has been added to the cost of the basic classic kilt and this will be passed directly on to Give Kids The World. The kilt can still be built with all available options and fabric choices.
We are also offering a selection of T-shirts and accessories that will have our Kilted for Kids' Cancer logo on it. We are donating 100% of the profits from these items to Give Kids the World for this year and every year. These will be updated as the month goes on - so check our Twitter and Facebook as new items are added. Most of these are pre-orders (as with the patches) or made-to-order as with the t-shirts. Suggestions are always welcome.
Thank you for your support of Alt.Kilt and our dedication to Give Kids the World.
