very nice kilt. What type of fabric do you use? And where do you buy the fabric?

It's 13oz. worsted wool tartan from Marton Mills. £15/m. The new lengths shown are 16oz. for my wife and me. I'm looking at more of their fabric as well, poly/wool and tweed.

I do have one question though... Are the aprons on backwards or is the picture reversed?

Thanks very much Rocky, yes Squeeky is right. The aprons run the opposite way 'round. It's a xmas present for my niece so I decided to sew it the 'girly' way. Not that that's a bad thing. I just thought they'd like them that way better. It's not a mini though. It should hang right to the top of her knee ... until next month when she grows, but there's a 7.5cm hem to let out.

what do you think of the "Inside" strap compared to the "Regular" way to buckle on a kilt?

Since I'm not wearing this one it's hard to say, but structurally, I like the fact that this whole length of fabric hasn't been cut so theoretically could be completely dismantled and resewn. I just hope that the buckle won't be annoying where it is, but I haven't read any complaints to that effect.
