Shoemakers Holiday
Well, last Monday...October 25th...was Saint Crispin's Day and since the middle ages the Shoemakers Holiday. About 50 of us gathered in Delavan wisconsin for the Annual General Meeting of The Honourable Cordwainers' Company ( a 501 C-3 educational Trade Guild of shoe and bootmakers with ties to the Worshipful Company of Cordwainers established in London in the 13th century IIRC).
Only two of us were kilted although everyone wanted to sip from our flasks. I only have this one photo taken of me and my particular friend who re-enacts with several WWII groups among them the Perthshire Home Guard and another unit that was originally commanded by Lord Lovat. My friend is on the left.
