Daywear and IOS at 2010 Breeders Cup
This is a photo taken by my brother at Churchill Downs during the 2010 Breeder's Cup Thoroughbred Horse Races, Friday Nov 5. Grey herringbone tweed Argyll and waistcoat from JHiggins, IOS tank from Tartanweb, goathair sporran with purple enamel thistle cantle (probably a little over dressy for daywear but the event held over into the evening), black and white diced Balmoral, and IOS triced hose from Skye Highland Outfitters.

This was the attire I wore to take second place in a mens and womens fashion contest as part of the event----purple was this years color theme----second place to a guy who painted Zenyatta on the back of his sportcoat and the front of his wife's dress. But I did make it onto the big screen at the track, the local news, ESPN's broadcast, and a funny little cameo on the national broadcast where the announcers were going to commercial and commenting on how the event brought people from all over the world while they showed me standing in the grandstands, as if I were one of those international visitors. I only live about 15 minutes from the track, am a 14th generation American of Scots descent, but certainly not international. If I can download the short segment from the DVR I will try to post it.
And "Look Jock, NO Flatcap!" Tryin' to make ya' proud of me, my friend.
Jeff
Ps---sorry but photobucket was not hosting correctly when I first posted this---should be working now. jf
