They for got a reason for Toronto, it's the only place I've ever been on a 16 lane highway and when they have rush hour they mean it!!! Last time through there I didn't dare going under 80 mph/132 kph.
I know what you mean on the boder patrol though. Canada just asked us the normal questions - where? what? how long?
On the Detroit end of the 401 they went off on us for presenting our military ID. They yelled about do I know how many foriegn people are in our military? Luckily we had our passports too. Funny we are one of 5 countries that don't accept the US military ID as a valid id and the only country that doesn't accept it's own.
