St. Paddy's in Conyers
In Conyers, we have what I believe is the world's shortest parade on St. Patrick's Day. It's only about 2 half-blocks, and it will include anyone who shows up. We always have a pretty good kilted contingent and a piper, and the Scots nearly always carry the day.
My granddaughter has never missed one, and this year I plan to have two grandsons kilted, one in a stroller since he'll only be three months old. Gotta break 'em in right. We generally walk in the parade, stand around with the kids for a few minutes, then send the children home so we can sample the Guiness with both hands.
I would like to invite all the local folks to start planning to attend now. After the parade, the streets will be roped off for a general street party, there'll be a band playing, and the local pub will have refreshing beverages and food for easy consumption.
I hope you folks will come join us for a fine parade and evening festivities once again.
Let me know if you can make it.
