Hello all,
I'm fortunate and honored to have found this site. My name is Stephen Robillard from Northampton, MA, USA, however my mother's side (Daugherty and Murray are my maternal grandparents names.)
I'm a musician (bass - upright and electric) and have always had a flair for the theatrical, as well as a revered sense of honor to family history.
At age 58, I just ordered my first kilts (Murray of Atholl and MacPherson - my late aunt's name) and am psyched.
I guess a first question would be on the Siagn Dubh.(sic ?).
And is it OK to mix a French beret to pay homahe to my late father? I usally wear one anyway. The kilts I ordered are casual, with two different sphorans, and I am anxiously awaiting.
I forgot to mention that I ordered a set of inexpensive pipes (Highland) from Pakistan and am attempting to self-teach myself. I played woodwinds (clarinet, sax, bassoon, etc.) in school, and am having a hard time getting the drones to sit properly.
Oh, well, as a Newbie, it sait to introduce myself, so Thank You,
Steve Robillard
