Passover joke
I love Jewish humour! I was told by a wise, old rebbe that a Jewish joke is one that every Jew knows by heart, but which they can recite better than anyone else.
This is a bit late for Passover (it ended last week) but I just thought of it... And combined with the Royal Wedding tomorrow, I figured it was a close enough connection.
Anyway... This is probably a bit of an "inside joke" so this is for all the Jewish rabble out there.... And all those who can get the punch line! :-)
A British Jew is waiting in line to be knighted by the Queen along with a few other distinguished men. He is to kneel in front of her and recite a sentence in Latin when she taps him on the shoulders with her sword. However, when his turn comes, he panics in the excitement of the moment and forgets the Latin. So, thinking fast, he recites the only other sentence he knows in a foreign language, that pops into his head, which he remembers from the Passover seder:
"Ma nishtana ha layla ha zeh mi kol ha laylot."
Puzzled, Her Majesty turns to her advisor and whispers, "Why is this knight different from all other knights?"
