Hello from Sunny Australia
Hello from Australia.
For many years I have been quite tartan averse. My mother was a Scot and when I was a small girl, I was forced to wear a boring dull looking kilt in Hunting Maclean tartan when all my friends wore nice bright Royal Stewart. We had no family connnection to Maclean, Mum just liked the colour.
Every time I grew out of my kilt, she would buy a size larger.. in the same icky tartan.. . I was drab. I was different and I still bear emotional scars.
Well, many years later, I have overcome my aversion to tartan. I met a nice man who happened to be a piper and wears beautiful kilts from time to time. In fact we "eloped" last year and were married in the Scottish Highlands.
I can't promise to be a regular contributor, I spend way too much time on the internet already, but thank you for the opportunity to join the forum.
