    Kilted at work

When I'm not hiking or Scouting, I do have to work for a living. Some folks call it work but personally my job is so much fun I can hardly tell weather I am working or playing. I fill toy and candy vending machines. I am responsible for over 800 of them in four western states. So with temps in the 90’s this week in Utah I decided it was time to do it kilted. Just made a great job even better.

So that is what Santa does the rest of the year. I should have known it would have something to do with toys and candy.

I wonder if the kids would do a double-take, if you carried your supplies in a red or green sack, and wore a red Balmoral with a white toorie?

I would love being kilted at work if it wasn't for a little document called, NFPA 70E. This code requires arc-flash resistant clothing for electrical workers. We're stuck with cotton tubes around our legs.

A couple of years ago they were letting people go down at work. Unlike other companies I have worked for when you were notified you were not immediately shown to the door. Your employment continued until the end of the month. I told my boss that if I was let go I would wear my kilt for those last days. I managed to keep my job. Must have been the kilt threat.
