How hot is it in Texas?

Believe it or not, the heat in the house came on this morning. I wouldn't want it as hot as ya'll but a little warmth would be nice.

I'm in Wichita Falls TX now. Almost 30 continuous days over 100F.

It's so hot and dry here, they're having to dip the fish for ticks!

I just saw a mosquito carrying a canteen.

Trees are whistling for dogs.

Today, I saw some birds picking up worms with pot holders.

You know, up until yesterday I would have agreed with this. But this morning, I was awakened by the sound of running water. After I fully woke, I discovered it was rain. So I brewed some coffee and took a stroll in it. What a delight in this horrible June/July/August.
