CO newb, KY-Scot & Irish roots...
Hello all,
As the title says, I'm here in rainy CO but am from KY way back when.... My roots are Mackey (S) and Moore (I) but I'm still a mutt.
I love learning new stuff so you will probably see me poking around asking questions. Time allowing, that is.
Plans as of now; Order my first kilt from Scotweb - Balmoral traditional 8yd med... Possibly as early as this week.
I'm a toy and weapon geek, so I foresee a few of them around the house sooner or later. I'm still learning everything I can, so I'm having all kinds of fun right now.

Hello and welcome! I have Moore on both sides of my family, and some of my father's side (not sure about mom's yet) comes from KY a little while back. Some of my father's family now live in Colorado, although I don't know them.
Best wishes!

Thanks all.
Fascinating place you have here. I keep wondering down rabbit trails on the posts, lots of fun reads...
Cynthia, My maternal Grandmother is a Moore, which I found was really Morrough till 3 generations ago. They came out of Ireland and promptly went from a Dr. to poor farmers that couldn't talk well enough to spell their name for the census. I have very extensive genealogy on every line of my family except for my surname (back to the 1700s) and my Mom's Dad's side - word has it my 2nd great grandfather killed a man, moved a way for a few years, changed his last name and moved back to town. We had a binder with all kinds of genealogy and pictures on them, but it has vanished.

A warm Scottish welcome from middle England.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!
