    Talking ...or it never happened.

    I bought a new "proof-generation" machine today.

Fujifilm Finepix F550EXR. It's got some SICK features...

It's a really nice new-fangled thing. GPS photo tagging, cat & dog face recognition, underwater mode, 360-panorama mode, really nice IS zoom features, etc, etc, etc... I already own an F60 and an F200EXR, so I figured we may as well step up to the next one.

I was so excited, I ran outside in the pitch black dark of night, just to take a picture of one of my wife's goldband lilies (Lilium auratum) (native to Japan)... And I can't wait to expose the virgin CCD to some TARTAN!

Amazing little camera. Outside of the cell phone cameras that is the first one I have seen with a built in GPS.

If it can reproduce the lovely colors of that flower in the dead of night there are no excuses for not getting a tartan reproduced perfectly even in meager lighting situations. Not sure if you've taken that trip you had talked about earlier, but if not I think you've found a fine new travel companion. Think this little gem may find it's way onto my Christmas list this year.
