I was thinking about Bali as a place to get jackets made up on the cheap- did you give them something to copy or a pattern of any kind? We went there as children and we all had leather jackets made (we were kids, it was "cool" and we were told they could make anything, especially if they were copying!) Bangkok would be another option, I guess, but I've never been there (aside from in the airport in transit).
My dad always came back with new suits and shirts when he passed through Hong Kong. I normally go through Singapore (because of Singapore Airlines!) and have to seriously restrain myself there. (I've bought 3 shirts made so far... oh, and camera lenses
)
Anyway, looks like you got an excellent deal! Thanks for sharing!
Cheers,
Michael
Thanks Michael
I gave the tailor serveral pics of HRH Prince Charles wearing his kilt and the sleeves do look a bit long in the photos, but wearing the jackets with long sleeve shirts, I have been told they look a good length (go figure)
I reviewed the jackets when I got back from Bali in late June (thread - Modern & Traditional in Bali ) and mentioned that the tailor does take orders via email
