Very neat Peter, you are like the Sherlock Holmes (or perhaps the Moriarty) of tartan identification.
I probably never would have guessed the clan. The only ones I could think of that remained were MacFadyan and MacGillivray, as the Macquarrie tartan I'm familiar with is so different. However, I was pretty close to guessing Mull as the location, although I suppose we don't really know where it came from before it ended up in the HSL collection.
