I think the buckle brogues work well because of the diced hose you're wearing. Overall, the five of you achieved a very well-put-together look, and done in different ways.
Congratulations to you and your new Mrs.
Now, where is the cake picture?

The woman who made and transported the cake failed to compensate for the simple physics which come into play while navigating hairpin turns on a mountain road.
It fell over in her van.
And when my wonderful bride saw this poor, (formerly beautiful) mangled cake, she just laughed her a** off. Did I get lucky, or what?!

Yes, you got lucky.
There is no contingency plan with a wedding cake. It either happens or it doesn't.
I'm delivering a birthday cake today. Thank goodness there are none of those tight turns between me and the customer.
Cake talk over. Back to kilt talk now.

Congratulations! There is something to be said for having sorted out a truly awesome kilt outfit... with the help of one's fellow Xmarkers of course! I'm not much of a jabot guy myself, so I applaud your choice of neckwear. The material of the doublet, the robust dicing on the hose, the buckles on the shoes, everything looks fantastic!
