I've already got a few of my friends interested
kilted in Brooklet :)
Ugh! it's taking me forever to get what I need to finish this kilt! Still don't have any canvas, and I'm running out of time to finish it!
Alright! just got my canvas. Now I can continue with my kilt
If this were Facebook, I'd click "Like".
maybe there should be a like button
Now that I'm back on track... Here are the pics of the canvas that have been stitched onto the kilt. here are the back of the pleats The back of the top apron the back of the underapron
here is another question for kilt makers out there. I'm starting to make the kilt straps when I realize that I have no buckles to use... Is there any other creative way to make straps without buckles?
You can often find suitable belts/buckles at thrift stores (or "close-out" clothing stores).
Proudly Duncan [maternal], MacDonald and MacDaniel [paternal].
you could use a pair of "D" or "O" shaped rings in the same slot and go with the old friction style or even go old school and use an antler tine that was grooved in the center and tied. Looks great so far!
May you live as long as you want and never want as long as you live
