    State kilt pins/badges?

    Ran across this on eBay. Anybody ever seen anything like this? If so, are these available? I'd like a Pennsylvania badge...not sured I'd actually wear it, but might like to have one.

    I'm guessing that was something commissioned by a Scottish organization (St. Andrews Society perhaps) in Wisconsin. Unless there is a "Wisconsin Scottish" pipe band that I am unaware of.

    That being the case, perhaps you can see if any such organizations in your own state have commissioned a similar badge for their membership -- and then join the organization, so you can wear it!

    For myself, I do have a kilt pin related to my state. Our state flower (NC) is the dogwood, and it is easy enough to find sterling silver dogwood blossom jewelry around here. I have a nice one from Stuart Nye which I wear as a kilt pin on my Carolina tartan kilt.

    What a cool pin. I'd love to get one for Montana. Who's the manufacturer?
    Scotland is only 1/5 the size of Montana, but Scotland has over 3,000 castles and Montana has none.

    Another suggestion would be Civil War reenactor "sutlers" who sell reproduction badges for various Northern and Southern state regiments; for example, I wear a reproduction badge for Iowa soldiers on my Iowa tartan kilt, since one of my great-great-grandfathers served in the 11th Iowa Infantry.

    I know Xmarks member Piobear wears a reproduction Georgia state seal badge on his Georgia kilt.

    Lightbulb

    I went the DIY route for a 'State' kilt pin;

    That badger needs a human head full mask sporran, then I'd buy it.
