Wanted: Good vibes and well wishings...
Back in March, my wife was laid off from her job of 12 years making me the primary breadwinner of the family. We discussed it awhile and while my wages were less than hers, we still felt like we could make it work, so she could keep house and raise my son.
I've now found out I have a very serious job opportunity looming on the horizon that will pretty much ease this burden somewhat. It will involve a bit of travel and a lot of work, but it is in a field that I feel very confident in, on an enterprise level. Basically, it might just be everything I've been looking for... and I would be working with friends I've known for a few years now.
So, while I am happy with my current job, it does have its stressful caveats... so if you have any tidings to give, any spilled drops of whisky to the angel's share, I'd appreciate them.
And, if I get the job, I'll provide a dram to every xmarker I meet. Tobermory 10 is really good tonight...
Have fun and throw far. In that order, too. - o1d_dude

Somehow it will all work out right. Don't ask me how, it's a mystery.
Scotland is only 1/5 the size of Montana, but Scotland has over 3,000 castles and Montana has none.

Many years ago I was at a major cross roads in my life and I well remember leaning on a field gate discussing the situation with an old( he was probably about 55!) game keeper, he listened to my agonised reasoning for a while and then said one of the wisest things I have ever heard; "Do it laddie , or you will die wondering"(in other words, spending the rest of my life "if-ing and but-ing" over it if I didn't)-----he was oh so right, you have to grasp these opportunities and who knows how things will turn out, but you just have to give these things a try. Good luck laddie with whatever you do.
