    I like the tie, would be inclined to wear it with the kilt.

    I hope Jock or MacMillan agree; if they don't I'll have some adjusting to do.

    100+ Degrees F? Ahh, "open your knees and feel the breeze ". Common enough occurrence down here. I put my kid in a Cotton Kilt (I'm not paying for all that wool until he stops growing :-)) which approximated wool but it wrinkles easily. Mine is 14oz. traditional, but I know a lot of guys that use 10 oz. You do what makes sense for your environment, just like the original kilt wearers.
