    Although I agree with most of the rational for going for it, I would only do so if you were sure you looked at the opportunity with the rose colored glasses firmly planted on the nightstand. New opportunities often look wonderful on the surface, especially if they help relieve one significant burden (financial for instance), however they frequently come with alternative consequences (our economically minded friends might call them "opportunity costs"). I would encourage you, if you haven't done so already, to include a good look at all of the consequences of the new opportunity (perhaps less time with your lovely family etc?) in order to make a fully informed decision.

    If the opportunity still makes sense then, by all means, don't let fear of the unknown stand in your way!

    Best wishes to you and yours regardless of which option you choose.

    Brooke

    Sometimes, you just have to step past your level of comfort to truly experience life.

    I can fully empathise with you having had similar troubles myself in the past.

    I hope it all works out well for you and your wife.

    Brutus:
    There is a tide in the affairs of men.
    Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
    Omitted, all the voyage of their life
    Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
    On such a full sea are we now afloat,
    And we must take the current when it serves,
    Or lose our ventures.

    Got a call tonight. Pre-interview Monday.

    Might have to buy a new pair of trousers tonight (bleh), as I've pretty much ended up wearing a casual kilt on the weekends, or these warm-weather khaki cargos I normally wear throughout the week for work. I've just realized I have nothing in the way of dressier p@nts.
