If you want great celtic music you should check out Blood or Whiskey and Flogging Molly, and then anything by the Pogues or Shane MacGowan and the Popes is always great.

Sadly I have heard neither. As you might guess,, celtic music is kina scarce here in west Texas along the Rio Grande. I hear lots of Tejano though (Ugggggggggh!Kill me now!)

John,
I am going to see the Chieftans on Feb. 27th.
I have been looking for a chance to see them
for several years.
I was shocked when I happened to run across an ad for them at venue not too far from here.
We are very lucky to have so many good celtic
groups play in our area.

Real McKenzies are great! Plus they put a link to my business on their website!

Both bands(Real McKenzies and Dropkick Murphys) are more punk than Celtic, but they have major Celtic influences (they both have bagpipes). They're both popular with a lot of Flogging Molly fans.

Hank,
How did you like Neil's new band RATHKELTAÍR?
Did you get a chance to see the
Glengarry Bhoys?
I think we will try to make the trek up
there next year to see this festival. Everyone
who goes tell me it is one of the best.

Orkney tuning rocks .... cgdgcd
Orkney tuning is like a warm good beer. Smooth, pliable and gives me the warm fuzzies all over!
