***. Unless I wore the kilt as everyday dress I, personally, wouldn't wear it to this kind of service. YMMV, but I just don't see any reasonable nexus between the Scottish Highlands and a memorial service for those who died in 9/11. I think it would draw attention to you and away from the purpose of the memorial.
