Bracing for Irene

It looks like BEEDEE (in New Bern, NC) will be hit pretty hard, as his town is pretty much in the path of the storm.

Yep, I'm actually 12 miles east of New Bern! Eye went by about 30 mile east of us. Watching the radar on my cell phone Saturday was a sobering experience. No significant damage or flooding but several trees down, including our best producing pecan. One rooster killed by a falling branch!

Power out from 5:30am Sat to 7:20pm yesterday. Cold showers after a day of chainsawing not fun!
