    Holiday in the Philippines

We had a fantastic time! Camiguin Island was truly beautiful. The weather cooperated well in spite of it being the wet season. Nothing says "tropical" quite like having a DOWNPOUR of rain, (as in: coming down in sheets) while the sun is shining bright in the sky. Amazing. Yes, we will be back!

Highlights included: the people (super-friendly), the rum (good & cheap), the diving (warm & relaxing), the resort (clean & new), the island itself (interesting), the beer (plentiful, and refreshing), the food (delicious) and the prices (cheap).

Anyway, I spent little time kilted. Actually, I spent little time wearing clothes, period. Most of it was spent swimming, diving, and snorkeling. It was quite hot and a kilt did not seem very appropriate, which is why I wore my Kenyan kikoi most of the time. But since this IS a kilt forum, I did tour the island in my UK, so here are a few of the pics. Actually, it DID come in very handy as there were numerous times during the day that required me to change in/out of a swimsuit without the benefit of a changing room or restroom. You can simply slip your trunks on and off beneath your kilt, quick as a flash... Ta dah!

As usual, the entire photo library is also viewable off XMTS premises (at http://www.zayith.com/photos/Camiguin%20Island/)

I took these two next ones especially for the XMarks rabble who happen to be big into the scouting movement. The Camiguin boy scout office.

This is why we scuba dive:

That looks like a great place, Jim. I'm glad you had such a good time, and thanks for posting the pictures. I love the hammock one!

Nice pictures, CDN. And I see you have cultivated a beard. It looks good on you.

Great album, I looked at all of them in the library.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Great stuff! What a beautiful spot!
