Oh that is very, very, very nice. Maybe a bit delicate but for a very special occasion...wow.

I don't know whether I like it or not.

    I don't like the price tag - £250!

But if it was a gift...

    Regards

    Chas

That is such a cool idea, but it looks too much like an insect for my taste ha. Thanks Chas for the post!

I think there's a reason you don't see something like that every day.

I actually think the idea is amazing, that said, the execution is... odd.

The random placement of feathers on the 'down' (or whatever you call it) of the body is a little strange, and the cantle appears to be a stamped el-cheapo, which I wouldn't expect at that price point.

I will say that I do think the execution of the "tassels" is quite delicate and intriguing.

I'd love to see some sort of full-beak raptor mask sporran, though I understand it could never be sold in the US. . .

I think it is quite beautiful. In my craft, I use feathers and have a lot of them, so I may have to try this someday... after I teach myself how to make a sporran. I do agree with Artificer in that the body could have been done just a little more elegant, maybe "scaled" a little bit more. Feathers are tricky though. Very fine lines between elegant, crappy, and WTH. Very much an "eye of the beholder" medium to work with.
