    Newest New Guy

    Howya to all!
    I have been lurking for awhile so I finally decided to register and introduce myself.
    I am 40, married with 1 son & 2 stepsons, a very active Freemason and from Syracuse, NY. My wife is from Dublin Ireland and though I haven't been over in 6 years, there are plans to head over next year with a side trip to Scotland.
    I am Welsh on my paternal side and Scottish on my maternal. I wear a traditional kilt with the Russell tartan - my wife gave it to me a few years ago at Christmas & I love it. I keep watching Sport Kilts & USA Kilts for the Russell tartan, but I am not expecting anything soon.
    I love the forum & glad to be on.

    Greetings, RJP...
    Glad you could join in. Although I'm not a mason myself, my grandfather was quite involved. I think the history and influence of the organization in the background of world affairs is quite fascinating. BTW, had you considered a visit to the the Rosslyn Chapel site while in Scotland? I gather it is somewhat of a Templar "Mecca". If I ever manage a trip to Scotland, it would definitely be on my "must see" list.

    Interesting...
    The Russell tartan is used by both Clan Hunter and Clan Galbraith.

    I will be there in May! And after reading the Da Vinci Code it is a "must see" twice over.

    Welcome Rick. I was wondering, does your whole family participate in kilt wearing, or just yourself? I have two boys of my own that enjoy wearing kilts (but they're not allowed to jump on the trampoline with them).

    Welcome brother;
    Good to see a fellow Mason wearing a kilt. Do you wear it to meetings? I haven't been in a while since I relocated.
