Kiltrock has a correction to 300 years in the comments.

Is it knife pleated or box? and to the sett or the stripe?

Inquiring minds want to know.

The kilt is knife pleated with the fell being sewn down about 6 feet down the 12 pleats. The Blackwatch tartan with the set increased five times larger than a normal kilt. The kilt is roughly 25 feet long with a waist of 46 feet.

These guys did some work to make this happen. It was put together using 13 pieces of tartan - each piece was 52" wide and 9 Yards Long.

I think they did a great job and both Made the wearing of a Kilt more visible and raised money some great charities.

I applaud their hard work
